Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) in recent time banned unauthorized international money transfer operators (IMTOs) transactions and has threatened a big sanction against violators of the policy   

CBN the Apex bank of Nigeria has published a new policy saying the under-listed  IMTOs and residential banks to pay all recipients their exact equivalence for foreign currencies.

Before now IMTOs and resident banks paid less in Naira equivalence for exchanges rates from foreign exchanges  

The IMTOs include 17 from UK; 14 in Lagos; 8 USA; 3 in Abuja; 2 in Senegal plus 1 in Ibadan, and 1 in Morocco and 1in Belgium.

The CBN has  released a list of  approved companies that will deal in foreign exchange home and abroad including their various addresses
