If your have just replaced/acquired your GTB card and wants to activate it, it will be most easier to activate it with a customer card representative in the bank that will guide your through or at any of their ATM machines

 GTB Debit Activation Online and Alert Mode Selection 

Follow the steps below to activate your GTB card Online

1. Log in with your password and Username after loading the GTB card activation site Here

2. Navigate and select Self Service Transaction Alert Service from the given options.

3. Provide your personal information like account number, mode of alert etc.

4. Answer the question asked and click on Submit

Activate your GTB Debit Card via ATM 

1. Simply visit the nearest GTB ATM and slot in your card

2. Select your most preferred Language.

3. Read the instruction on the screen and input the default pin that displays on your screen which is normally (0000) 

4. You will be sent a pin code to your phone simply type it the way it is sent through the number you registered number GTB bank alert with.

5. You will be asked to input a new pin and verify.

6.You will be required to input the pin for the third verification.

7. Congratulations you GTB bank will be activated successfully.

Activate a GTB debit card via USSD

1. Simply dial the code *737*5#

2. You will be requested of your GTB debit card last 6 digit type it in correctly as required.

3. You will be prompted to change your pin input verify and submit.

4. You will be notified that your GTB debit card activation was successful.

Activate GTB Card via email or SMS

To activate your GTB via email simply send an email to gtconnect@gmail.com wait for a reply and select the card activation service and activate your card.

Via SMS simply send a text to +2348039003900 in the format (GENS <Space< Account Number and you will receive a reply telling you how to go about it.

Tip: once you collect your card and it it a replaced one you can continue using it with the old pin you were using before the card got missing or expired.

Your GTB Debit Card  will be blocked if you try a wrong pin THREE times.
