I was on a journey to Ibadan last weekend and I sat beside this lady. Petite and very fair skinned 

She was good looking and had a very nice smell. 

She took the window seat, so I sat between her and another older man who slept all through the journey with his head on my shoulder half the time - annoying stuff, but like him, the other occupant who was sitting at the front was sleeping too.

From Ojota park where the journey took off, the boyfriend of this lady beside me called and they spoke till we got to Redemption camp. 

That was about 45mins from our starting point, then she ended the call to make a short call before the guy called back and they continued.

They talked about everything. You could see through the way she spoke and laughed at every of his jokes that she was deeply in love with the guy. 

She wasn't shy too that I might be listening in on their conversation. She spoke on with glee, looking out the window half the time.

She told him her aunty who she was going to visit already prepared pounded yam for her and she can't wait to devour it and wish he would be there with her.

They spoke till we got to the express way where the network became bad, the call ended, only for her to call back when the network picked up. 

They spoke for over two hours cumulatively and I wonder how beautiful that really is considering she left his place a day before. 

At the outskirt of Ibadan, she told him goodbye, that they will continue with chats as the network in her aunt's place is terrible as he is well aware. 

They said their goodbyes and the "I love you so much". 

Then, she called Dave, that he should come pick her up at Iwo road. 

Dave told her to pick a cab, they had a little back and forth, then she told him "You'll be disturbing me that you miss me, now I'm here you can't come to the park to pick me abi? Nothing for you tonight". After a little back and forth, I think he told her he was joking and was on his way already cos we met him there by the time we landed. 

When we alighted, I watched her go over to him and planted a kiss on his lips as they hugged. He was obviously her other boyfriend.

If love will not stop a person from cheating on their partner, what can? 

Maybe nothing. It's just a human need, the need to always feel wanted by another and another and another so long as you can evade being caught. 

It never stops, wanting something else after having one, going for another to feel the rush of another adventure...

Can't stop thinking of that episode each time I think about love. 

Maybe it's truly raining everywhere like a friend of mine will say, just that some people have perfected the act of staying dry no matter how heavy the rain gets.
