King of Zulu, Goodwill Zwelithini kaBhekuzulu monarch of the  largest ethnic group of South Africa is confirmed dead aged 72-years 

The king of Zulu reportedly died after he was hospitalised at  the KwaZulu-Natal hospital for a week before he lost the battle for his life to diabetes related complications

King Zulu which is often referred to as a controversial ruler of answered the call to join his ancestors on  March 12, 2021

Before his demise the popular King influenced the largely populated people of Zulu and others around the world via his ceremonial occasion and spiritual role 

King Zulu didn't really hold a formal position in his country South Africa government but has mentored millions of his subordinates 

The pronouncement was made by a popular Zulu son and politician, Prince Mangosuthu Buthelezi 

He wrote: “Tragically, while still in hospital, His Majesty’s health took a turn for the worse and he subsequently passed away in the early hours of this morning."

Late King Goodwill Zwelithini, inherited the throne from his Late father King Cyprian Bhekuzulu kaSolomon who died in 1968 and was crowed the King at the age of 20 

He coronation was delayed and done 3, December 1971 after he came out from hiding due to death treats he received as the heir to the throne of the Zulu Kingdom

Goodwill Zwelithini was also the was  principal authority of the republican constitution of South African people

He married his first wife two years before ascending the throne Queen Sibongile Dlamini in 1969, the union produced 5 children.

His second and third wife were Queen Buthle MaMathe and Queen Mantfombi Dlamini  in 1974 and 1977 respectively 

King Goodwill Zwelithini fourth and fifth union was to  Queen Thandekile Ndlovu in 1988 and Queen Nompumelelo Mchiza in 1992

The last union was to Zola Mafu 2014

All this marriage unions brought 27 children
