South African man allegedly shoots wife dead after he found her in a car with another man before attempting suicide

A man known to be at least 34-years of age has shot his wife dead after sighting her in another man's car in South Africa.

The incident which took place at Shoprite Supermarket Polokwane, Limpopo parking lot.

Brigadier Motlafela Mojapelo the police spokesman affirmed the incident last Friday May 7, 2021, narrating the incident took place a day before his reports dated May 6, 2021 at Grobler and Landdross Mare streets

 Brigadier Motlafela Mojapelo  stated:

"The police received a call about the incident at about 14h00 and rushed to the scene. On arrival, the bullet riddle body of a 32-year-old woman was found inside a motor vehicle," 

Preliminary police investigations revealed that the deceased, who is believed to be from Seshego Township, was together with a certain man inside the said vehicle when her husband arrived," . 

The Police revealed that the suspect on arriving where his wife was in the parking lot, their was an argument between the  deceased and the suspect before he reach for a weapon and shot several shots at her.

Reports suggests she died at the spot, according to eyewitness account, the owner of the car ran away from scene.

The police have recovered the exhibit (gun) used by the suspect and have stated they will use it  for a ballistic exam to ascertain if the weapon has been used to commit other illegal offences like threats or other related crimes like domestic abuse.

Residents have been advised to always fashion professional support rather than taking laws into their hands in approaching domestic challenges which in some cases lead to severe injuries or lost of lives  

The suspect is going to face charges for murder soon in Polokwane magistrate's court

The suspect tried suicide after allegedly killing his wife as he was spotted trying to jump from a storey building before the police intervened
