A lady gang up with three other church members to attack her own mother at apostolic shrine in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe following a  'prophecy' by the apostolic sect's prophet 

The incident took place at the Garikai Masowe Church shrine in Bulawayo's cowdray park suburb, shortly after a 51-year-old Maggie Chikwara met prophet Arthur matsika for prayers

During the prayer session, the prophet was said to be hypnotized and accused chikwara of being a witch. The prophet Matiska prophesied that Chikwara move around with a snake in the boot of her car, she fed her husband with dog meat. He also said she planted a charm at the church shrine, which he claimed cause teenage female congregants to menstruate early  

The prophecy angered Chikwara's daughter and she pushed her into assaulting her mother with three other female worshippers which caused her to bleed.

 The situation was arrested when other church members intervened and rescued her 

All the four accomplish were by the police have been charged with assault at the Western Commonage magistrate Jeconia Prince Ncube, as they pleaded guilty to their offenses

They were sentenced to four months in prison. Two months were suspended on condition that the offenders do not commit any offence of which an act of violence is an element in the next 3 years.

The other two months were suspended on the condition that the four convicts perform 70 hours of community service respectively
